Death is a fact of life. What begins to breathe must eventually cease. What lives a life must suffer for it. The Game of Death is one man’s spin on what it means to be “human” and a “god.” Beginning as a simple project combining two passions (gaming and dark mythos) into one, four larger than life “portraits” of the four horsemen of the apocalypse were created in the form of trading cards.
The original project soon took on a new un-life of its own as a thesis project. Even with the Covid-19 pandemic being a massive party pooper, Death itself still rages on. And so does the game designed after it. Below, you will find what was meant to be on display in the Target Gallery at Saint John’s University. |
